The first Noel. When love came down. A baby in a manger who would one day save the world.
As you celebrate Christmas, take time to reflect in wonder at the miracle of Christ’s birth in a barn. Imagine the humble shepherds gathering around Him in awe and amazement, and envision Mary and Joseph – two new parents entrusted with raising God’s own Son. Picture the incredible star that lead the wise men to meet their King and ponder the significance of their gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. But above all, recognize the love of God in sending His Son to be the Savior of the world. See the love of Christ in how He humbled Himself to become human and to dwell with us in a broken world. He is Emmanuel – God with us. His love for us is greater than anything we can imagine.
So whatever you’re going through right now, know this deep in your heart. Jesus loves you. He is for you. He came to earth and died for your sins so that you could have a relationship with Him and live forever in Heaven. He is our Redeemer. Our Counselor. Our King. Let that fill your heart with incredible hope and indescribably joy this Christmas and beyond. Merry Christmas!!
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
