At Thanksgiving time, we are all reminded of the importance of slowing down and reflecting on the many blessings we have. It is a season of gratitude, in which we are all encouraged to take note of the ways in which our lives are enriched. From fresh flowing water to homemade pie. From a comfortable bed to brand new shoes. And of course, we count our family, friends, homes, and jobs among the many things we’re grateful for. But I wonder if too much attention is placed on the blessings and not the blesser Himself.
The Bible says, “Let them praise the Lord for His great love and for the wonderful things He has done for them.” (Psalm 107:21 NLT) Let us not forget the source of all our blessings – our Heavenly Father. This Thanksgiving, let’s remember the Lord and His incredible love for us. We couldn’t ask for anything greater than what He has already given to us – His unconditional love and salvation through Jesus.
Let’s let our hearts rejoice in the eternal blessings given us by our Holy God. Let’s worship, like Psalm 86:12 says, “I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever.” (ESV)
Today, let’s, “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.” (Psalm 100:4-5 NIV)
Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.
Psalm 106:1 NIV
Hope, you are so right! We all need to focus on the Blessed One and then on our numerous blessings-remembering that HE gave His very life for each one of us. Oh Let us Praise our Savior!! Nana 🙏🏻❤️🤗😌
