Heeding the Call

Today, I am stepping out in faith. I am heeding God’s call. I am anxious and unsure and have butterflies thrashing around in my gut, but I will be faithful. I will attempt what I have put off for so long. I will share my words with others. I will publish my website – one in a sea of billions – with the hope that at least one other person in the world will find my words and feel comforted by them.

I will face my Goliath – my fear of failure – with my bag of truths, like David’s five smooth stones he carried into battle.

  1. God loves me more than I can comprehend.
  2. God will use me in mighty ways to share the gospel.
  3. I don’t need to be afraid.
  4. God’s grace is enough for me.
  5. With God, nothing is impossible.

So here I am – still learning, still scared, still feeling my way around in the dark – but certain that this is what the Lord has called me to. No more excuses. No more putting it off until it’s perfect – because I never will be. I’m just a young woman on a journey with Jesus, who wants to share her heart stories and her hard stories so someone out there knows they’re not alone.

And you aren’t alone, my friend. You are in the capable hands of your Heavenly Father who loves you so tremendously you cannot comprehend. He has a special calling for you. Perhaps it is yet to be revealed. Keep your eyes open for it! Or maybe you know what it is, but like me, you’ve dodged it for a while now. If that’s the case, I encourage you to take a brave leap of faith and follow His call! I know it’s not easy. I’m trembling as I write this, but I am confident in the Lord working through me. Will you allow Him to work through you too? Take up your truths, and make that first move today!

Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking , it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”

Matthew 19:26 NLT

I looked up and I saw a star
    It blinked and winked
    A beautiful star
So I blinked and winked back
I looked down and saw the ground
And my feet touching the ground
    I saw darkness all around
I looked back up and saw the beautiful star
    But it seemed so far
Then I saw the sun opening its eye
    To light up the sky
    I looked all around
I saw the green grass and the trees moving
    Gently in a soft breeze
God seemed to be all around me
    From beyond the stars
    Not so far

As a person who struggles with religion and faith, I want you to know that you did reach one person and that I found the words “God loves me more than I can comprehend” particularly helpful… because if you have faith and you struggle to know- it’s ok if I don’t know yet too. ❤️ Thank you Hope❤️
