Have you ever been faced with a major life transition and everything just seems out of your hands? Things seem to be happening too quickly, or not fast enough. Whichever the case may be, you don’t feel in control of your own life. This can be frustrating – even frightening. But take heart. We know the One who holds it all in His hands.
The first step is to take our concerns to God in prayer. We know He hears us and that He cares for us. Psalm 50:15 says, “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you and you shall glorify Me.” (NKJV)
We know that God has a divine plan for our lives. We can trust His timing and His direction. Psalm 18:30 states, “As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in Him.” (BSB) God is the author of our stories. Let’s trust Him with the pen.
Indeed, God wants to bless our lives. “The Lord is gracious and full of compassion.” (Psalm 145:8 NKJV) He is actively at work in your life – even when you can’t see it. We have to trust that He will work everything out for good, for those who love Him. We have to have faith so we can say, “My heart is confident in You, O God; no wonder I can sing Your praises with all my heart!” (Psalm 108:1 NLT)
Remember, “The Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blesses His people with peace.” (Psalm 29:11 NIV) May your heart be encouraged and may you see whatever you’re facing through the lens of His provision and His love.
You go before me and follow me. You place Your hand of blessing on my head.
Psalm 139:5 NLT
